The Sixth CFHT User's Meeting will be held in Lyon, at the Ecole Normale Supérieure on Thursday, May 31st and Friday, June 1st. It will be held jointly with the meeting of the Société Francaise d'Astronomie et d'Astrophysique (SF2A), during what has been called "la semaine de l'Astrophysique Francaise".

Since the last CFHT User's Meeting in Quebec in 1998, several spectacular scientific results were obtained, thanks to the rich and modern instrumentation now available at CFHT. Some highlights will be presented at the meeting, as well as some of the forthcoming instruments already in development. More prospective will be the presentation of the projects for a Next Generation CFHT. We then expect a lively and open discussion from the 3 communities. Last, the design of a CFH Legacy Survey to be performed with Megacam will be presented. Again it can be discussed within the participants of the meeting, before it is finally reported to the SAC and the Executive of CFHT.

The program of this meeting is prepared by a Scientific Organizing Committee, whose members are members of SAC and CFHT resident astronomers. It is still preliminary. Please check back from time to time...
